Every year, one third of maternal and child deaths are caused by the lack of essential nutrients. This year, in a partnership with Vitamin Angels, LuckyVitamin.com hopes to help change that.
We are proud to announce that we have joined forces with Vitamin Angels (VitaminAngels.org) in a collaborative partnership to support Vitamin Angels in raising awareness and funding for their quest to reduce child mortality worldwide by advancing the availability, access and use of essential nutrients to newborns, infants and children under five. On Tuesday August 4th, 2009 we launched an innovative new program that enables our health conscious consumers to directly support Vitamin Angels with a new at-checkout-donation module that allows customers making purchases to add a charitable contribution to their order.
“Today for most of the children Vitamin Angels works with, basic nutrition is a privilege that is largely beyond their reach. We feel ‘lucky’ to be working with an organization truly committed to global health!” Said Howard Schiffer, President and Founder of Vitamin Angels
In the first week since its launch we have received hundreds of donations representing thousands of dollars in support for Vitamin Angels. Each donation will be processed by LuckyVitamin on behalf of each contributing customer and forwarded directly to Vitamin Angels to help improve the health and wellbeing of children worldwide.
