VerTerra offers a durable and truly environmentally-friendly line of single-use dinnerware. The company creates the highest quality products using sustainable production methods and fair wage labor for the environmentally and socially conscious consumer.
Founded on the belief that it’s possible to combine high design with the highest standards of environmental responsibility, VerTerra redefines stylish, sustainable and compostable disposable dinnerware.
Durable and versatile, VerTerra products are lightweight yet sturdy and stand up to hot foods, hot/cold liquids. Products can even be used to bake in the oven, store in the fridge and reheat in the microwave.
Since VerTerra is all-natural made from only fallen leaves, steam, heat and pressure, there are no concerns about plastics, glues, lacquers, veneers or any toxins to leach into foods.
VerTerra dinnerware is biodegradable, durable, and stands out for its natural look and feel. The company only uses an agricultural byproduct – fallen leaves – which is borrowed, and frequently saved from being burned, and then returned to the earth.
No trees are ever cut down to make VerTerra dinnerware as all fallen leaves are collected from plantations. The leaves are then brought to the factory, where they are sprayed with high-pressure water, steamed and UV sterilized. Over 80% of the water used is recaptured and reused, and the entire manufacturing process uses just 10% of the energy used in recycling.
VerTerra plates are 100% free of chemicals, lacquers, glues, bonding agents or anything toxic.
