Lucky Vitamin Presents: Green Toys

Filed Under: Environment at 11:00 am | By: Mauricio Matusiak, Senior Editor

Kids playing with toys can also protect our environment. That’s right. When children play with toys made of recycled plastic milk jugs, they are having fun and also protecting our planet Earth. Lucky Vitamin fully supports this great idea and is proud to present Green Toys to our customers.

Green Toys Inc. makes an innovative line of classic children’s toys constructed from recycled plastic and other environmentally friendly materials. This helps reduce fossil fuel use and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improving the overall health and happiness of the planet. All toys are safe, and made from environmentally friendly materials.

The company uses recycled milk containers as the main ingredient in creating toys. The exact plastic milk jugs that you and your family drink from every day. When you finish your milk and toss the container in the recycling bin, these milk containers are collected by a recycling company, who then sorts them from all the other types of plastic.

Next, the milk containers are reprocessed into super clean fresh plastic. The plastic material used is called high-density polyethylene (or HDPE), considered one of the safest, cleanest plastics around.

Green Toys also strives to minimize packaging, using as little material as possible. Green Toys products are packaged in recycled corrugated boxes with no plastics, cellophane or twist-ties, and are 100% recyclable.
Additionally, Green Toys are 100% safe, contain no traceable amounts of Phthalates or BPA and are tested by nationally recognized, independent, third-party labs. All products pass a plethora of tests, including: Consumer Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA), Consumer Products Safety Standard Specification, ASTM F963, California Prop. 65 restrictions on lead and cadmium, FDA regulations for food contact, Voluntary testing for no Bisphenol-A, and International standards EN71 and ISO 8124.
