The Amazing Benefits of Emu Oil

Emu

The name sounds strange. The product looks weird. The results are hard to believe.

But Emu oil is an incredible product for the treatment of scars, burns, wounds, bruises, and many other skin related issues.

Learning a little bit about this unusual product explains why Emu oil is one of the hottest selling items on LuckyVitamin.com.

Emu oil is a powerful product made from the fat of the emu, a bird native to Australia. It has been used successfully for thousand of years by the Australian aborigines for skin care treatment.

Studies have proved that emu oil products aid in reducing scar formation in healed burn wounds, muscle sprains and arthritis due to its strong anti-inflammatory properties.

Furthermore, emu oil has been used as a pain reliever for bone, muscle, and joint disorders, such as swelling or stiffness of joints.

The secret of such a successful product is the utilization of 22 essential fatty acids. Emu oil consists of approximately 70% unsaturated fatty acids. The main component is oleic acid, a mono-unsaturated omega-9 fatty acid. It also contains about 20% linoleic acid, an omega-6 fatty acid, and approximately 2% of linolenic acid, an omega-3 fatty acid.

The complete form of omegas, 3-6-9, makes emu oil a top skin care product, often used topically to soften skin and to heal cracked heels. Emu oil is also rich in antioxidants, slowing down the aging process. Major cosmetic companies are adding this powerful ingredient to their anti-aging skin care formulas.

I wonder how they get the oil from the birds?

  2. Steve says:

I think they just extract it.

  3. Burger says:

Is it like grapes, but with an Emu press??

  4. Gwyneth says:

Unfortunately, the birds are killed and their fat used to make the oil. While this product does offer benefits to the skin, for me (and only me)the end does not justify the means because I’m a vegetarian and to use emu products just isn’t consistent with everything else I do.

Thanks for the great post! Such good information, ive been using emu oils for the past 6 months now and I have never felt better. As a long term arthritis sufferer the emu oil cream has really helped reduce pain from inflammation and muscle soreness. I cant recommend emu-oil-cream enough. Hopefully these websites can help people as much as they helped me! Thanks again for the great blog…take care.

Tony EMU Farm-This is an important product in emu-farming. From the fat

oil can be extracted. This oil gets absorbed in human skin within 4-5

seconds and reach the bones. Hence this oil is mainly used in skin ointments

and also for various cosmetic products. Recent research shows that this oil

serves as excellent medicine for arthritis. It is also used as a pain killer.

The fatty acids present in this oil decrease the blood-cholesterol level as per

the modern research. Because of the medicinal value of this oil, western

countries are capturing international markets by producting new cosmetics

creams & lotions from this oil. India too has a great opportunity to enter in

    to international market.
