We are a society of greasy fast food, high stress and high anxiety. Acid reflux and stomach ulcers are not uncommon. With too little time and too many pharmaceuticals, we simply pop a pill and continue along on a path of self-destruction. Luckily, NBC “Today” reporters have rounded up an important figure in natural health to inform us how to naturally deal with our acid reflux problems.
Dr. Leo Galland, author of “The Fat-Resistance Diet,” spoke with NBC “Today’s” Tiki Barber in the June 21 video recording and subsequent online posting titled appropriately, “Have acid reflux? Soothe it naturally.” There are many ways that we can soothe our overtaxed stomachs, beginning with slowing our hurried eating, curbing overstuffing our faces and not hitting the hay directly after a meal. But when it comes to natures best natural supplements for acid reflux, look to DGL.
Deglycyrrhizinated licorice (DGL) is an extract of the licorice root. But where licorice in its natural form can cause many unwanted side effects like hypertension, DGL is free of the ingredients likely to negatively impact the body, while still containing all of the healthy, natural ingredients of licorice that have been shown to aid in calming acid reflux as well as healing peptic ulcers. DGL’s anti-inflammatory nature is soothing and nurturing to the body. So check out NBC’s video recording of Dr. Leo Galland and remember next time the acid starts flowing, soothe your overtaxed esophagus and uproarious stomach with some calming DGL.

The nutritional value of ingredients consumed in commonly eaten foods today is minimal compared to what your body needs to function. Essential elements for health have been stripped in favour of economical demand, resulting in more chemical enhancers, preservatives, additives and contaminants in your food and drink. Even your water and the air you breathe contain pollutants.
