I have acid reflux disease. I have had good success with DGL. You can take it at anytime, but if you are having problems, it is best to take one 20-30 min. before eating. I also recommend "Pearls" probiotic......once per day........
Most of the time I have fairly quick relief after taking DGL and the probiotic.....many times within minutes, and usually well under an hour. Finally, if you eat something and you are not feeling good in your digestive system from it, and you do not get relief in one hour or less from the above, I find "Charcocaps" work very well.....2 every 2 hours. The charcoal tends to bind any toxins and you expel them. Your stool may turn black for 24-72 hours, but this, and all of these, are very, very safe.
I find that the above items work better than any drug, with zero problems and risks associated with typically prescribed or over the counter drugs.
If trying these things work with others after my suggestion, then I am happy that I submitted this.

Amazing blog. People will get great help from your efforts. Being in the healthcare field it is hard for me not to interject my clinical experiences. I find that there is an intimate relation between the nerves and the organs responsible for heartburn symptoms. It’s often thought of as an outside to in problem. Meaning people think that ant-acids will calm down / reduce the acidity and therefore their heartburn. I have gotten great success with spinal adjustments and allowing the body to regulate itself back to a proper homeostatic environment. The body regulates itself from the inside out. Patients love it when they do not have to take all the chalky pills and liquids before / after each meal. I would encourage anyone with heartburn to seek out a chiropractor in their local area.

The nutritional value of ingredients consumed in commonly eaten foods today is minimal compared to what your body needs to function. Essential elements for health have been stripped in favour of economical demand, resulting in more chemical enhancers, preservatives, additives and contaminants in your food and drink. Even your water and the air you breathe contain pollutants.
