If there is a problem you can have but never feel too bad about is snoring. Of course you rarely hear yourself but when your wife or husband, possibly your kids, feel horrible and constantly complain about how loud you snore, then you don’t feel so good.
Snoring is caused by partial blockage of air movement during breathing while sleeping. Our respiratory system produces noises as parts of your system may be vibrating due to irregular airflow. You may try a few easy tips before seeing your doctor: changing your sleeping position, losing weight and quitting smoking (or at least reducing).
Sleeping on the side may be the easiest way of stop or minimize snoring. You will not block your throat with your tongue if you are able to sleep on the side of your body for the entire night. You may need a pillow on your back, preventing you from rolling over to your back.
Smoking clogs the throat and we all know how bad cigarettes are anyways. If you cannot quit smoking, try minimizing it, or at least do not smoke at night, so your throat will be “less clogged” as you go to bed.
Finally, try losing some weight, as fat pressing your throat will obstruct air movement in your respiratory structures. If none of these tips work, you may want to look for some natural snoring aid products. Nose clips are great devices to improve air intake as you sleep. They might be uncomfortable for the first couple nights, but you won’t even notice once you get use to the product.
Snoring is unhealthy and annoying. If you can minimize or stop snoring, you’ll have better hours of sleep, more energy and a much happier partner.
