Studies have shown that individuals with higher levels of vitamin C in their system ward off and recover from stress more readily than those with low doses of vitamin C or a deficiency of the vitamin. Vitamin C is destroyed when cooked or exposed to light, so it’s best to ingest any of these varieties raw. If you can’t seem to get enough vitamin C by eating from these lists, vitamin C supplements are readily available on the market. With stressful environments and hectic schedules, throwing a little vitamin C in with some healthy exercise couldn’t hurt at all.
