Blog Action Day: Fighting Starvation

Filed Under: Announcements & News at 6:30 pm | By: Mauricio Matusiak
Undernourished world mapPoverty creates one of the world’s biggest problems: starvation. The depravation of food may create serious issues in the human body. Lack of nutrients may cause serious diseases due to poor intake of vitamins and minerals.

Now, we are talking about humans not getting any vitamins at all for days. It’s important to understand that absolute lack of food may damage much more than what we normally think.

The human heart needs nutrients and vitamins too, lack of food may create a sequence of health issues that may lead to serious diseases and, in some cases, to death.

Most people feel there is really nothing they can do to help poverty around the world. We know that’s not true. We do have several ways to help starving children anywhere in the planet from right here.

Education is the first and most important step. Several organizations help to end or reduce poverty in many countries miles away from the United States. Volunteers are always supporting events such as fundraisers and promotions in order to raise awareness.

It’s also important to take care of our health here. Eating properly, not wasting food and water, respecting the environment and create a better place for the generations to come. If we all do a little bit, we can live in a much better world and help reducing this serious and important issue of poverty.

Great Blog! You are so right. We can all do something. For $9 a month the cost of a drink in a nice resturant you can support the ABC Center which feeds abandon babies who’s parents have died from HIV that would be, thousands of babies. For the price of filling your gas tank half full you can support a child giving him a education and meals ($24) We can do something you just have to DO IT. It is so rewarding, it will change your life. Change your life also by taking care of yourself also.
