Same old advices: drink a lot of water, always have breakfast, eat more protein in every meal and avoid sweets; important steps normally suggested for a weight-loss diet.

However, let’s try to understand how these healthy tips can help you losing weight.

Staying hydrated is the best way to keep food craving at bay. You should add water-heavy foods such as melons, watermelons, apples and tomatoes to your diet.

Do not skip breakfast. The most important meal of the day is your daily source of energy. Plus, early intake of carbohydrates gives you the entire day to burn it.

Protein is important because it can keep you fuller longer than carbs and fats. The human body digests protein more slowly and, as a result, you are less likely to feel hungry after a high-protein meal.

Finally, the most difficult part of a diet: avoid sweets. If you crave sweets is because you are lacking minerals such as chromium, magnesium, calcium, chloride and phosphorus.

Perhaps you should start taking a multi-mineral to stay away from the cookie jar.
