Lucky Vitamin is happy to announce the introduction on another brand of eco-friendly products: LunchBots.

LunchBots offers a superior line of plastic-free solutions to reduce the use of plastic. Created to improve school lunches, this family-owned business is truly concerned about the safety of plastic and its impact on the environment.

Plastic is everywhere: dishes, toys, food packaging and many other things we use daily, and many products contain toxic additives. Plastic color, texture, and hardness can all be changed to improve performance or reduce cost, even though the additives used might be potentially dangerous.

Many household products contain additives, such as adipates and phthalates, which may become an issue when plastic comes into contact with food. Traces of these chemicals can leach out of the plastic, exposing your family to their harmful effects. Bisphenol A (BPA) is one of the most popular toxic chemical additives, commonly found in plastic baby bottles, water bottles, sports equipment, and most food and beverage cans.

Studies have shown that certain additives can cause harmful developmental effects on children, potentially impacting allergies, hormones, and metabolism. New studies are beginning to show that the convenience of plastic simply isn’t worth the risk to our health.

It’s also important to consider the environmental impact of plastics as, unlike paper, glass, or wood, plastics aren’t biodegradable or easily reusable, resulting in landfills, and polluting the ocean or wildlife areas.

LunchBots is dedicated to creating safe alternatives to plastic products. Glass, stainless steel, bamboo, and other materials are just as effective and don’t have any of plastics’ inherent dangers. LunchBots stainless steel lunch containers are healthier than plastic and better for the environment. Both containers and lids are made from the highest quality, 18/8 stainless steel and are perfect for snacks, salads, sandwiches, take out, and leftovers.

I don’t think stainless steel is the best option for lunch containers. Many people reheat/heat their food and you can’t put metal in the microway.

I have just read the article of substitution of plastic for stainless steel, I think Its a great idea, because I have heard of the harm that plastic can do to humans and to the environment. Iam a regular customer of Lucky Vitamins and Iam going to give it try to the stainless steel pots. It will be good for grandchildren too!
