3 Recipes With Protein Powder That Aren’t a Shake

Okay, we say “protein powder” and you think of a smoothie, shake or blender bottle. Did you know you can make amazing desserts, breads and baked goods with your protein powder? Why YES you can. Check out some of our favorite recipes below:

Oat Protein Pancakes


½ cup of oats

1 banana mashed

2 eggs

1 scoop protein powder

1/8 tsp of baking powder


  • Mash the banana
  • Add the remaining ingredients and whisk together well
  • Measure out 2 tablespoons and add to a hot skillet greased with grass-fed butter or coconut oil
  • Let cook 30 seconds each side or until golden brown


Protein Cranberry Energy Balls

½ cup of dried cranberries

1 scoop of protein powder

1/2 cup of coconut milk

1/2 cup of almond butter

1 cups of gluten free rolled oats

1 tbsp maple syrup


  • In a medium saucepan combine milk, maple syrup and almond butter on low heat until almond butter is spreadable
  • Stir in protein powder until dissolved completely
  • Add oats and cranberries
  • Roll into bite-sized balls and refrigerate until harden (30 minutes)


Protein Vanilla Blondies


2 scoops vanilla protein powder

1/2 cup unsweetened apple sauce

3/4 tsp baking powder

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 tsp xylitol

1 tsp cinnamon

1 egg

3 egg whites


  • Preheat the oven to 350 and line a muffin tray
  • Combine all the ingredients and whisk well
  • Bake for 12 minutes until cooled
  • Top with fresh berries and yogurt

    Best pancakes ever. Even my husband enjoys them. He’s not fond of oatmeal but will eat it in pancake form. And have introduced them to my 17 month old granddaughter and she loves them.
