3 DIY Homemade Hair Masks

Filed Under: Beauty,Personal Care at 2:51 pm | By: Jessica Justh, Senior Editor
hairAll these DIY hair masks use ingredients you can find in your kitchen! Coconut oil can help improve hair growth and strengthen your locks since its high in lauric acid allowing it to penetrate deeply into the hair shaft. Apple cider vinegar prevents build-up and unblocks your hair follicles leaving your hair as smooth as silk. Plus, it gently cleanses the scalp, maintains the pH balance of the hair, and accelerates hair growth. Find your hair type, try one of these masks below and let nature nurture your hair.

Smooth & Shine for Frizzy Hair

1 Tbsp. of coconut oil

½ avocado

½ ripe banana

In a food processor combine all the ingredients. Apply to hair and leave on 15 minutes. Rinse with cold water. Wash with a natural shampoo of choice.

Deep Clean for Oily Hair & Dandruff

2 Tbsp. Apple Cider Vinegar

2 Tbsp. Honey

1 Tbsp. Water

1 Tbsp. Coconut Oil

Combine all the ingredients together in a bowl. Massage into your scalp for five minutes. Leave on hair for ten minutes and wash out with warm water.

Protein for Dry/Damaged Hair

1 Tbsp. Olive oil

2 Tbsp. water

1 beaten egg
