Chewing GumMost people admit they do not brush their teeth as many times as they should or would like to. In fact, very few people brush their teeth after every meal or three times a day as your dentist always recommend.

Dental care should be taken more seriously worldwide. A new study by researchers from the University of Bristol has shown that lack of dental care may have life-threatening implications. What sounds scary at first can be easily explained as the number of people needing hospital treatment for dental abscesses has double in the past 10 years, despite the fact that these serious infections are preventable with regular dental care.

What can you really do to improve your dental hygiene habits? Well, brushing is the regular answer. But how about if you can’t brush your teeth because it’s not possible at your job or you can’t get used to carry a tooth brush everywhere you go? Natural chewing gum might be just what you are looking for.

Several natural companies are now making gum with natural ingredients only, cleaning your teeth and reducing cavities. Xylitol is the hot ingredient of the moment. Originally from Finland and used at first as a sugar substitute for diabetics, now even major companies are also replacing sugar in their gums with xylitol.
Chewing gum made from peelu trees is also an alternative for cleansing teeth. Peelu gum also helps preventing the formation of plaque.

If you eat out for lunch or dinner and can’t really brush your teeth after ever meal, natural chewing gum can be a very easy and helpful tool for your dental care.

This might be the best answer for those people who forget or has little time to brush their teeth. Though, experts always recommend us to follow proper oral care.

Most dentists wouldn’t really consider this. It is still better to follow oral habits like brushing, flossing and mouth rinsing. You shouldn’t forget about seeing your dentist too.
