Choose Natural Toothpaste

Natural toothpasteBrushing is important to maintain overall tooth health as well as moisturizing the mouth and promoting a white smile. The removal of dental plaque and tartar from teeth can prevent cavities, tooth decay, gum disease and gingivitis. Choosing the correct toothpaste is essential to promote oral hygiene.

People should know most of the cleaning from brushing is done by the mechanical use of the toothbrush and not by the toothpaste. So, brushing properly is the first step.

However, most toothpastes contain trace amounts of chemicals that may be toxic when ingested as toothpaste is not intended to be swallowed. Natural toothpaste products are the easiest way to prevent this problem.

Natural toothpastes are generally rich in xylitol and aloe, which can promote a cooling and moisturizing effect on a dry mouth, while natural ingredients, such as mint and cinnamon, can add a refreshing flavor.

Xylitol is a naturally produced sugar that has been shown in a number of studies to help support healthy pH levels within the mouth, inhibit the activity of bacteria and protect enamel tooth surfaces. In addition, natural toothpaste is safe for children with no problems if accidentally swallowed.

Frequent eating of foods high in sugars promotes tooth decay. Many toothpaste brands contain unwanted sugar or artificial sweeteners (sucrose, fructose, saccharin, etc.). Natural toothpaste use xylitol instead of artificial sweeteners and the majority of products are completely sugar-free and fluoride-free.

Recommended by many dentists, most natural products help to whiten teeth using natural baking soda and its powerful whitening properties. Baking soda has been recognized in many of today’s most popular oral care products as an effective way to safely whiten teeth.

I always look for new teeth whitening product, and I’ve found crest white strips AWESOME!!!I was really surprised as I entered my neighborhood bar when my buddy called out, “dude, did you whiten your teeth?! they’re freaking glowing!” that pretty much sums up how effective the strips are – and I was only on day 3!To be objective, my teeth hurt a little when I first put them on, the type of slight pain you feel when you have cavities. I guess this is what they mean by your teeth becoming sensitive. But the pain isn’t bad, and it went away after a few minutes. And also, I didn’t notice a HUGE difference myself, but there definitely was a change for the better. And I guess to an outside observer, the change was noticeable. In short, I think this stuff is awesome. I’ll definitely finish it, and probably do it again at the recommended time.

I’ve been wanting to try natural toothpastes for a change. Not that I have anything against the toothpastes sold in markets. I just want to be able to try such a toothpaste which is becoming a fad today.

I have never used a natural toothpaste before but I’ve heard that it is really good since the toothpaste is a natural one. I think I will try to use it one of these days.

It doesn’t makes me matter if the toothpaste I was using was a natural one or not, the most important out of it, is that I maintain the good condition of my oral hygiene and I never forget it even a bit. This makes me more aware rather than taken it for a granted. Thanks for a comprehensive post. I’ll also take it for a consideration.

Is this toothpaste FLUORIDE-free? Fluoride itself is a health hazard.
