Who Knew, Peppers Really are the Spice of Life

peppers.jpgCall me crazy, but sometimes…just sometimes…I like to eat a meal that makes me cry.  Yes.  You read that right.  I love my jalapenos!  Stir fry, pizza…I’ve even seen recipes for crème brulee that use jalapeno juice to give the sweet concoction a little bit of tang.  I love spicy food, and for me it’s the jalapeno overall.  But peppers in general are the spice of my life.  And I’m here to try my humble best to bring you to my side.  How do I plan on accomplishing this task?  Well, let me count the ways.  Studies show that the ingredient, capsaicin, from these peppers 1.) Is affective for relieving headaches 2.) Helps ease arthritis either by eating peppers or using a topical cream containing capsaicin 3.) Soothes sinus problems with  its antibacterial properties and 4.)  Burns the fat by increasing overall metabolic activity.

If you’re sitting on the fence, I’m really relying on that last one to push you over to my side.  There are so many health benefits that including these peppers in your diet can bring you.  However, I understand that some individual digestive systems are just not set up to handle the potency of these spicy treats.  Though I’m saddened that you won’t ever experience the savory delicacy of a salmon vegetable stir fry with jalapeno soy sauce, I can take heart in knowing that there are still many dietary supplements that can be purchased to allow the pepper deprived to reap the same benefits.  Check out capsaicin products, and for once feel free to step into the heat.
